SAFETY & SHOP AGREEMENT

At Cary Players, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all Volunteers, Contractors, and Visitors. Safety is an integral part of our culture, a top priority for our leadership team, and relies upon joint commitment by all. 

Cary Players is committed to maintaining a safe environment and relies on our volunteers to participate in maintaining such an environment. We expect that everyone embraces the following principles:

  • Individuals should be aware of their own safety and the safety of others.

  • Follow basic safety rules and procedures.

  • Use tools in a safe manner.

  • Experienced participants will share best practices.

  • Do not use any tool you are not comfortable using.

  • Report safety concerns to Master Carpenter or work session leader.

As a participant with Cary Players, respond to this message via email, acknowledging that you are aware of the following and accept these principles:

  • Cary Players does not carry medical insurance coverage for cast, crew or volunteers.

  • Whether you are getting paid a stipend or volunteering, you assume risk and responsibility for any injury that may occur while working with Cary Players in a Town of Cary space or our shop facilities.

  • You hold Cary Players harmless and acknowledge that you are personally responsible for any injury that might occur while working or using tools at the Cary Players’ shop or Town of Cary facilities.

  • This agreement is effective the date of your reply and remains in place until cancelled or modified.

Share this acknowledgement with anyone you recruit to volunteer with Cary Players.
